The Intersect Fund

The Intersect Fund is a student-run non-profit organization that empowers entrepreneurs to start businesses, generate income, build assets and spark dramatic social change. Since getting started in November 2008, we have served over three-dozen clients, training them in the basics of running a business. We also offer long-term support to help entrepreneurs along what can often be a difficult road to a successful enterprise. Founded by students at Rutgers University, the Intersect Fund still relies largely on student staff members to administer our business services. Though young, they are well trained, having gone through a rigorous process to understand the intricacies of small business ownership and the needs of local entrepreneurs. Our connection to a university means more access for our entrepreneurs to customers and resources. Relying on volunteer labor means we can keep our services affordable. Our staff and clients both work toward a more vibrant and sustainable community.
