MicroMentor Groups
What are Groups?
Groups are used to bring together individuals with a common interest, such as your industry, your hometown, or an organization that you belong to. For example, you might find a group on Green Business, Web Marketing, or for the organization Mercy Corps Northwest. Most groups on MicroMentor are created and managed by our members.
What is the Purpose of Groups?
A group on MicroMentor is a great place to network and share resources with people who have a common interest, to connect with mentors who have a specialized area of expertise, and to network with your peers. On the group home page, you will be able to see the other members of the group, the questions that group members are asking, and the mentoring requests that are being posted by group members. Can I Create a Private Group?
Yes. Groups have two different settings around privacy. First of all, you can decide whether you would like to restrict the membership of your group. In an "Open Group", any member of MicroMentor can join. A new member can only join a "Closed Group" with the approval of a group owner or manager.
