Q. Packing Manufacturing Question

Hi,

I'd like to speak with someone who has expertise in the packaging industry. I would like to know the costs involved with printing packaging for the food industry.

Thanks very much for your help!

Best wishes,

Steven

Halo Steven

I am also in the food industry and did packaging just recently.

It depends on what kind of product, material, quality, quantity you are looking for if you already have the design ready.

My recommendation (based on paper prints) is

1. reserach some local print shops, and

2. compare with the online one because sometimes they are cheaper.

www.overnightprints.com

www.uprinting.com

both have decent business card quality.

3. ask people you know who already prints their references

4. and if you do have large quantity, you can consider printing overseas because sometimes that is a lot cheaper, but need to consider the volume and shipping costs, time, and duties involved.

5. compare all the costs, quality, and determine your final choice.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

Hi Steven,

I am not an expert in the packing manufacture industry althought I have researched it. I did run into a website that has lots of information about the packing industry. Try looking through the website: http://www.packworld.com.

They have a section on food packing. If you are more specific in what type of food you want to pack, I may have done some research on it.

Best,
Mario
