Hello Grace,I can't speak for everyone on this particular site. However, I have found a successful mentorship creates a long-lasting positive relationship between the mentor and mentee. This bond requires finding the right fit regarding personality, style, and experience thus creating an environment where both people grow. Personally, I am still in contact with my principal mentors and those that I have mentored over the years. Have a look at my profile and let me know if you would like to connect.Have a wonderful day,Amber

Hi Grace,

This is Jason from the MicroMentor team. Here in our community, we don't have specifications about how you should develop your relationship - it depends on you and your mentor. Some mentors want to have short-term relationships and advice the entrepreneurs with what they need and what they find challenging. Some mentors on the other hand work with the mentee in a longer term. There is no right or wrong way to do this; it depends on your (and your mentor's) personal preference.

That being said, as you're looking for a more long-term relationship, communicate that criterion to your potential mentors. We often encourage entrepreneurs/mentees to send messages to at least 5-7 mentors so that they can assure response as well as good fit. Search for a few mentors, send them messages with what your challenge is, what you're looking for, and how they can add value to your life. And make sure to spell check and use punctuations (this help the mentors to read your message and respond to you timely and thoughtfully.)

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions. (support@micromentor.org)

Regards,Jason
