Q. Would you mass manufactuer or custom manufactuer recycling bins?

We have these brands of recycling bins that look like they are craving mass production. The ideal of handling all of it feels daunting but the pay out is huge. On the other hand i could do a smaller number of recycling bins and charge the "custom price". So knowing that i would have to raise these fund for the mass production or collection all the exoctic materials for custom bins; which would you do?

Tycoon,

It's difficult to answer your question without understanding more about your business or market/customers.  The only experience I have with recycling bins are the blue or black bins at Office Depot.  They are mass produced, very plain, and relatively inexpensive.  If you have an unique design, I suggest the "custom" option at this time.  Once you have the brand name recognition and volume demand, you can partner with a major chain, such as Office Depot, to sell your product.  At that time, I would recommed going the mass production route, which requires more capital investment for tooling and manufacturing.

Best of luck,

Charlie
