Q. What is the average markup for sterling jewelry. And for gold. If I buy a piece for $50-$75 for example, what percentage should I raise the wholesale cost?
Obviously I can raise it to whatever the market will bear, but what's a ballpark figure?

If you are starting a new business than I would be very careful with pricing.Once you should consider establish your customer base for that reason you should have a very attractive pricing.. I think for starter you can markeup 100% and offer some sort of discount may be 20 or 25 percent
