Q. How do I start to network in my particular business interest?
I'm interested in starting a nonprofit business that is a community program that specializes in tutoring, mentoring, literacy and computer training but I'm not sure how to start networking.

I use the following websites for networking, tutoring, mentoring, literacy and computer training: Alison.com, ditto.com, ikeepbookmarks.com, twitter.com, linkedin.com, weseed.com and google apps to name a few. You would probably have to use different avenues for different segment of people. Social media weebsites will be good platform for connecting with other non profits, professionals and community organizations.
For spreading a word you may have to connect with district libraries, schools etc.

From what I gathered, your community based venture would most benefit from the old fashioned personal marketing. Preparing some informational materials and distributing thoughout the community (i.e. libraries, schools, non-profit and other orgs., community events, chamber of commerce....). If you want to use the internet, I would use local sites and community message boards.
