Responsibilities of Mentor: Veteran Mentors are expected to:

• Lead a process of inquiry to address questions/problems, where appropriate
• Facilitate learning and help introduce the new concepts
• Coach
• Encourage
• Communicate, communicate, and communicate
• Problem solve
• Provide quality feedback
• Be respectful of commitments

Responsibilities of a Mentee: Mentee’s are expected to:

• Build and maintain a healthy, productive mentor/mentee relationship
• Communicate, communicate, and communicate
• Have good questions
• Don’t expect miracles
• Be a good listener
• Prove you’re serious
• Be respectful of commitments
