What I need help with

My background as an entrepreneur

My current challenges

The first challenge is the required skill set to develop and maintain the product (web applications and Software). Raise money to conduct further research on the business idea. No previous experience in running a start-up business, hiring and training staff. Managing and accessing funds to set up the business.

Actions I’ve taken so far

In 2020 I contracted a web developer to work on a prototype for the idea and I started my second degree in computer science at the University of the People. I went further to acquire the source code of one of the local hotel management software providers to help me understand their technology. I am now concentrating on learning the Javascript programming language and working with Reactjs. From 2020 till date I have taken over 40 different courses on programming and entrepreneurship, on platforms like Udemy, Coursera, and Pluralsight. I have some experience working with -Git (GitHub) -JavaScript (React) -Python (Django) -HTML5 -CSS -Linux -Bootstrap -UI Design (Figma & Adobe XD) -PostgreSQL -Java -REST APIs -Node.js

My future goals

1) HAVE A WORKING ONLINE HOTEL MANAGEMENT MODULE THAT WILL WORK WITH AN ERP SYSTEM BY SEPTEMBER 2022. 2) OWN AN ERP COMPANY BY SEPTEMBER 2023. 3) OWN AN INTERNATIONAL SOFTWARE COMPANY OPERATING IN FIVE COUNTRIES BY 2025. 4) GET A BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE DEGREE BY DECEMBER 2025. 6) GET A MASTER IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA) BY DECEMBER 2027. 7) OWN AN INTERNATIONAL SOFTWARE COMPANY OPERATING IN AT LEAST TWENTY DIFFERENT COUNTRIES BY 2031.

My motivations to work with a mentor

A mentor increases my success rate as an entrepreneur. As a Mentee, I have to be loyal and obedient to my mentor. One of the Challenges of young Entrepreneurs is getting the right Mentor... Lack of a Mentor in the same industry makes the Entrepreneur make many mistakes, mistakes that could be avoided if he had a Mentor who would help him walk the ladder... For me, I would love to have a Mentor like You!

About my venture

Eji-Tech (Hotel management software Providers)

According to Techpoint.Africa Nigeria lost 5 Billion Naira in 9 months to fraud in 2020. One of the major challenges in the hotel business in Nigeria is “FRAUD”, when rooms, products, and other services are sold without being accounted for this leads to the failure of the hotel business.

The second challenge for hotel owners is subscribing/purchasing a functional hotel management software. Most local hotels cannot afford to subscribe to the expensive international hotel management software providers and most of the local providers provides poor management software with very poor after-sell services.

The third challenge is that the sophisticated hotel management systems provided by large international companies are not just expensive but are difficult for most of the employees of medium-sized hotels to operate mostly due to the computer literacy gap.

Our idea is to build a solution with the same capability and robustness as the international brands but with a simple user interface and the most needed functionalities for daily hotel processes.
