What I need help with

My background as an entrepreneur

My current challenges

Our current challenges come with marketing-how to, where to, through what media. cost of products-how do we get the cost of our products down in order to improve overall profit margins, customer acquisition-with our product we can tell whomever how good it is but until they taste and see for themselves they won't know but once they taste it they buy it therefore how do we reach those that aren't in front of us? We have been doing farmers markets but how do we get on the shelf in the big box stores ? How do we successfully wholesale to stores and restaurant franchises. We would like to extend the business eventually to cookbooks, branded merchandise, and a cooking line as well. But how do we do it all without being overwelled whilst working a W-2 job?

Actions I’ve taken so far

We have rebranded our entire line. We have amped up our online presence. We are go out and marketing to restaurants in person. We have made application to be on the shelf in a few large chain stores. We have logoed tape for shipping. We have incorporated a financial plan for business operations and savings to maintain the business. We hired a graphic designer for the rebranding of our products for a more professional look. We also hired a professional photographer for website photos. We make sure our customer service is outstanding. Our on-shipping rate is above 98%. We are constantly re-evaluating our processes to make sure that we don't allow something small to slip through the cracks.

My future goals

Our future goals include but not limited to successful wholesale line, getting on the shelf in big box stores, and increasing our online sales. We are looking to being the featured flavor specialists in restaurants as well. Once making a mark in those areas we will begin a line of branded products and cookbooks.

My motivations to work with a mentor

I have been a mentor and mentee in my career. I have found it very rewarding being a mentor and so helpful being mentored. I am a life long learner and we are looking for help to grow the business.
