My background as an entrepreneur
My current challenges
My current challenges are getting my liquor license to actually start making and selling my alcohol . It quite expensive to get the license in South Africa and it requires a lot of steps and processes before actually applying for it. My second major challenge is getting financing to startup my business , and lastly my major challenge is getting understanding how the industry works. I've done a bit of research over the years but it has been more on the production and creation of my brand.
Actions I’ve taken so far
I'm more on the starting point in my business journey . The steps I've taken is to do a lot of research on the industry and draft strategies on how the business will run. I've reached out to potential investors that can help me kick off the business in terms of actually producing the alcohol . I've signed with 3 night club that will partner with me in the selling of my alcohol .
My future goals
To create a brand that truly tells a story about the African life. To promote healthier living by creating a new and innovative product that will will be healthier and more enjoyable. To grow this brand onto national levels in terms of distribution, brand awareness , sales and business growth.
My motivations to work with a mentor
I believe that working with a mentor who's far knowledgeable and has much experience in the liquor industry especially in the rum and wine industry will catapult me into success and a higher level of business success. A mentor will guide me on how l must do things and be my reliant source of guidance. Working with a mentor will give me a sense of confidence in what I'm doing in my business.
