What I need help with

My background as an entrepreneur

My current challenges

I already have an idea of the kinds of commodities I want to middle but I'm not sure of where/how to begin sourcing foreign suppliers and domestic buyers. I've read that looking up bills of lading is a good way but being completely new to this I'm not sure where to even begin finding them or if I did how to understand them. So first question would be how do I start in terms of sourcing suppliers and buyers?

About my venture

IE Connection

Through IE Connection I'll be acting as an import/export agent/broker. What this entails is connecting foreign sellers with domestic buyers, negotiating and navigating the transaction, and collecting a commission for the service. It seems to be a low overhead kind of business with plenty of upside potential in a large industry.
