How I can help

My professional background

My background is in web design. Until recently I have been working as an IT consultant and freelancing as a web designer/photographer. I have experience volunteering with various charity organizations to help them build their websites and learn to administer them. I also love to do photography for them, events/product/headshots whatever they need.

How to work with me

What I can offer

If you need to build or troubleshoot a website I can be an invaluable resource. If you are located in the Houston area, I can also take photos to help you promote your business. I've also helped people order business cards, purchase and set up office equipment, set up email accounts, print signage, design logos, the list goes on.

My expectations for a successful mentoring relationship

If I can help you overcome a hurdle or work more efficiently using technology I will feel successful. Starting a new venture is difficult and often times it's the small, unexpected hurdles that are the most frustrating. You should be focused on building your business not debugging a webpage or figuring out how to use the latest social media platform.

How entrepreneurs can prepare before we start

If you already have a website make sure you know where it's hosted. I have worked with several individuals who created (or had someone create) a website, then couldn't remember who hosted it or where their domain was registered. It's important to know and to keep those accounts up to date.

If you are just getting started and you need a website, it's important to have an idea of what you want. Research your competition and really think about how your potential customers will find you.
