What I need help with

My background as an entrepreneur

My current challenges

Hello! I have recently registered my business, Mantel, as a sole proprietorship. I am wondering if I should have gone with an LLC. It sounds like I could upgrade to this later. What is the down-side to registering as an LLC besides the slightly higher cost and needing an attorney?

About my venture

Mantel is a brick and mortar boutique primarily focused on offering locally/regionally sourced, highly crafted homegoods, gifts and accessories. The look is simple, clean, modern with a mix of carefully curated vintage. I opened my doors September 1st. I was previously an art teacher and love supporting local artists in this new venture.
