What I need help with

My background as an entrepreneur

My current challenges

I started this business thinking that there was a huge potential of customers inside the niche market of Military Vehicle collectors and enthusiasts... I designed an initial product and literally got 100 people to sign up to be on our waiting list for when the product was available. I thought that was a good indication that there was some demand for this product... so I started production, and announced a pre-order. Only a few people actually ordered the product, so it has had me re-thinking the direction and everything for my business. There are a lot of mom-and-pop plasma cutting shops all around the country, selling little art pieces, or name plaques, etc. And the market for Jeep parts, truck suspensions, and lift kits is so oversaturated.

How do I find a niche market that can support my business and help me turn this into something profitable? How do I define my business direction and growth strategy, when my original direction fell a little flat?

About my venture

Santan Fabworks Started 2019

Santan Fabworks is a custom metal fabrication shop. We have invested in a 5'x10' CNC plasma cutting table, welders, shop tools, etc, so we can be fully functional. My original motivations were to offer my services to customers looking for a metal shop to do custom work, and being able to use the equipment to build and promote some lines of products that fit inside my own hobbies of collecting and restoring military vehicles.
