How I can help

My professional background

I have literally had three careers; one as a large corporate sales and marketing executive, one as a product and new company development consultant and finally as a startup and small business mentor for a national mentor organization. I have mentored over 900 startups helping create successful strategies as well as business and marketing plans. My diverse background included work with dozens of different industries. Essentially I have been successful in developing products and acquiring customers for those products in the US and abroad.

How to work with me

What I can offer

I can offer the experience and perspective of someone who has started and managed more than a dozen companies and who has mentored hundreds of successful small businesses. I also have experience creating international partnerships and in product development. I can help you think through strategy, tactics and create compelling business and marketing plans

My expectations for a successful mentoring relationship

It is important to remember that success requires this to be a mutually beneficial relationship and like any relationship it will take some effort and patience to determine if the match works. Mentors want to work with clients that have the basic tools for success. which I would argue includes clients with passion, drive and an inquiring mind. The best relationships are often intergenerational with an older mentor having a wealth of experience and a younger mentee with the patience to be able to draw from that wealth. A frank, up front discussion about expectations is an absolute must.

How entrepreneurs can prepare before we start

I expect my clients to come prepared with a basic value proposition and have done enough research to know something about the market and key competitors.
