How I can help

My professional background

Work professionally for over 20 years with FedEx in various roles in IT project management, Learning & Development, and currently work in e-commerce strategy supporting the micro/Small business segment. In 2010 I launched a small business collective called Modern Made Memphis to support local product brands. Provided business education, marketing/branding support, and strategy and planning support to them. I've produced several popup retail shops and most recently launched an online marketplace for local brands.

How to work with me

What I can offer

Business strategy for launching an online business selling directly to customers. If you have a product idea or are already manufacturing it but need help figuring out how to turn that product into a business - I can help. Specific areas of expertise include product pricing, sales channels (own store vs marketplace vs multichannel), marketing strategies, how to plan your online store operations, identifying which tools/apps you need to efficiently run the business, and a host of other things.

My expectations for a successful mentoring relationship

Be honest about your strengths and where you need help. Also be willing to share the intimate details about your vision for your business and willing to listen to feedback - especially the parts you don't agree with. There just may be some wisdom there that can help you avoid pitfalls common to business.

How entrepreneurs can prepare before we start

Take some time to think about and get clarity on what you want your business to do for you. Think about the challenges you're facing in moving your business forward and what the ideal state for your business would be.
