How I can help
My professional background
Hi everyone!
It seems like I should introduce myself. There we go!
I was raised in an entrepreneurial environment with parents who practiced liberal professions. My father, who was an attorney, surgeon-dentist and the director of the secondary school he founded, was also my first employer, in Haiti. He hired me to tutor optics (a branch of physics) to eleventh grade students which sparked my interest in mentoring and coaching. My mother was a pediatrician, the co-director of the school mentioned above, a very accomplished college professor and school instructor who prepared detailed outlines of how she taught her high school students. She hired me to type and sell those outlines of hers. Both of my parents also ran their clinics.
My journey led me to diverse experiences from founding and running my own children's clothing store in Togo, West Africa to establishing a business consulting in 2017. With a Master's in Business Administration, a bachelor's in management; certificates in project management, digital marketing, competency-based instruction; certifications in professional bookkeeping, language interpretation, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (for quality assurance) - you can feel confident that you have a knowledgeable professional in your corner!
My expertise spans the following industries, in alphabetical order: Administration & support services, education, finance & insurance, government, healthcare, management, media & communication, professional - science - technical, retail, service, transportation & storage. Passionate about mentoring, I am excited to serve in this capacity, leveraging my global insights in a personalized manner with you in mind, dear entrepreneur.
It's so nice to meet you! (smile)
How to work with me
What I can offer
I can help each entrepreneur get closer to their respective goals:
-
By sorting out the steps needed;
-
By sharing resources;
-
By helping with mindset;
-
By also helping with activities that entrepreneurs must complete but that are challenging to them.
My expectations for a successful mentoring relationship
For a successful mentoring relationship, I need to understand my mentees':
-
Challenge(s): Current issue(s), needs, obstacles;
-
Expectations from me: The type of results they are looking for, if they want to learn how to do something, if they need to strategize, if they need resources, if they need tools, if they need to learn how to use tools, etc;
-
Minimum results that would make them happy: Get unstuck, how to start something, start to finish, how to finish something, how to reach a certain milestone;
-
Description of delightful results: For instance, a problem that is solved once and for all, a solution that gets improved beyond expectations, apply a done-with-you solution (with their active participation), a strategy or plan of action that helps them reach their specific goals, etc.
How entrepreneurs can prepare before we start
The prioritizing / ranking of requests (starting with the most important, most urgent one):
-
Organize everything that's done and show me;
-
List tools and equipment they have access to (smart phone, laptop, the Internet w/a limited or unlimited plan, wi-fi);
-
Be ready to commit to a calendar/schedule so we can start and finish;
-
Let me know how many hours of commitment (per week) are possible with me;
-
Let me know how many hours of commitment (per week) are possible to do the required work, between two meetings.
