My professional background
I was groomed by my mom who is a successful Entrepreneur. Her industrious nature and high level of unemployment in Nigeria motivated me to come to a conclusion that I'd rather create employment opportunities, than look for jobs. Just after my first degree in Microbiology, I began my Entrepreneurial journey( writing my business plan, attending business seminars and boot camps) in 2012, by 2013, my first business (restaurant) was legally registered and launched in 2014. The challenges I was faced with in the business led me to acquire deeper knowledge on management and operations of businesses. I began studying short online MOOC in business and project management. Equally, writing winning business proposals for funding both locally and internationally, added to my motivation. With this push, I took up some professional courses in Business Management and mentorship from reputation Universities via Edx platform. Eventually, I enrolled to study for BSc. in Business Administration.
Presently, I'm working on a project on Local Economic Development. The objective of the project is to revive dying businesses which the present world pandemic impacted negatively on, by deploying the Graduation Approach.
How to work with me
What I can offer
To be successful in any business, one must first discover what he/she is naturally wired for (ie the in-built talents as regards to one's earth assignments), which serves as a starting point, compass and the key to create and dominate his/her nitch. Without self discovery, an intending Entrepreneur or a Business starter will toll the path of trials-an-error and with great dissatisfaction in settling with An Enterprise that would likely grow into a sustainable venture. To address some of the problems that I've mentioned as regards Business start-ups, Development and Sustainability, I work with what I call, THE SEED PRINCIPLE. I offer; Business mentorship, Business plan remodel (BMC) Business plan writing, Cash flow analysis tips, Marketing tips, Grant/loan proposal writing, Grant opportunities (international) information and application process etc. Above all, talents discovery and soft skills Development.
My expectations for a successful mentoring relationship
For a successful mentoring relationship,; 1. I expect a two-way free communication between the mentor and mentee, where there's an invisible or preferably, no "Boss-Employee" line drawn. 2. Consistency and punctuality of fixed meetings. 3. Implementation of ideas and knowledge received, to achieve the expected successful results 4. Feedback on progress to be reported.
How entrepreneurs can prepare before we start
An Entrepreneur should prepare the following; 1. Vision, mission and goals about the business. 2. Brief description of business 3. List relevant experiences 4. List of his/her talents, like and passion 5. Date of birth.
