How I can help

My professional background

I was employed in the healthcare industry for several years. These experiences included working as a manager in several healthcare settings such as hospitals and residential facilities. I was also an independent licensed insurance agent in the state of Pennsylvania within the United States. Currently, I still practice as a licensed insurance agent. I passed the Securities Industry Essential, SIE exam and the Series 63 licensing exan as well as the Series 65 licensing exams to become an investment adviser representative. My educational background is a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a Master of Health Administration degree from King's College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania; United States. My mentoring experience includes mentoring new startups through the Entrepreneurs For All, E For All Buffalo Community. Also, I'm an Event Campaign Manager through Northeastern Pennsylvania Score. Another skill I provide is business mentoring services through Northeast Pennsylvania Score and the Eastern Pennsylvania Small Business Administration. Furthermore, I'm currently in the process of engaging business incubators to share my knowledge and better serve my clients. I'm always searching to improve my professional skills as a business mentor to serve my mentees and clients alike.

How to work with me

What I can offer

I enjoy providing business mentoring services in the United States. Although a primary focus of mine is the United States health care industry, I'm flexible with my business mentoring assignments. For example, my mentoring experience includes non-profits such as combatting hunger. Also, I have experience mentoring clients from the manufacturing industry and small business retailers through Northeastern Pennsylvania, NEPA Score. My mentoring style is listening to my clients while suspending judgment. This enables me to ask deep and insightful questions to further assist the client. I can guide you to the right resources to get you started with creating your business plan. Also, I can provide you with a basic explanation of the types of funding for your business. My business mentoring sessions aren't just a one-and-done type of situation. I suspend all judgment on my mentees/clients while encouraging them to schedule follow-up mentoring sessions with me.

My expectations for a successful mentoring relationship

My expectations are straightforward. Before our mentoring session, I'll read more about what you're looking for to take your business/practice to the next level. When we schedule something on the calendar and you need to cancel, please be kind and try giving me at least a 24-hour notice. We can always reschedule our session. During our meeting, I'll listen to your concerns and needs going forward. If you have any additional questions before we conclude our session, you can ask them. Finally, we'll conclude our session. Usually, I provide homework and suggest a follow-up mentoring session to check in with you. My hope and expectation would be for you to complete your homework such as starting to create your business and asking for help whenever necessary.

How entrepreneurs can prepare before we start

It depends on the mentoring session. If you have a business plan, I strongly encourage you to have it for our first session together. That way, we'll have a more productive and meaningful session. During our conversation, you can tell me how long you've been in business. If you were in business during the last twelve months, you can tell me if you experienced a profit or a loss of income for the year. You can also bring your questions if you don't have a business plan in place. This is to guide you to the next step. That next step would be potential homework and/or scheduling another business mentoring session. The most important thing during our sessions is to relax.
