How I can help
My professional background
I have played many executive roles in both larger and small companies over my professional career. Over the past 10 years, I have started 5 small business ranging from marketing and sales to operations to technology and call center operations. I am both a strategist and a tactical practitioner and can always spot business gaps and help conceive of solutions to fill them. As a woman in business, I enjoy working with other women-owned businesses but work equally well with women and men.
How to work with me
What I can offer
Any good business requires a sound and well thought out business plan. I am very seasoned with developing full operating models for various size businesses and assisting to identify the necessary resources and identify gaps. A sound marketing and sales strategy is key to growth but it often overlooked in start-ups and new businesses. I can assist and mentor in these areas, among others. I prefer in-person interactions as a means to getting to know a person and being able to probe to get to the bottom of an individual’s perspective and to better understand how I can truly help make a business more successful. I understand from personal experience how challenging and rewarding owning your own business can be.
My expectations for a successful mentoring relationship
A true mentoring relationship takes some time to develop. Ultimately, no mentor will be as close to your business as you are, therefore, you have to use your best judgement as to which observations, insights and recommendations make the most sense to you and decide what you believe best serves your business. There are no quick fixes in business and strategies need to be both adaptable and scalable.
How entrepreneurs can prepare before we start
I am detail oriented. Entrepreneurs should be prepared to articulate their vision for the company, what differentiates their business from others similarly situated, and have a handle on and be willing to share the metrics that reflect the company's results.
