My professional background
I have held operations, scientific and commercial roles on client and agency sides, including the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Anthem, Sanofi and startups/SMBs.
I have implemented startups' and established enterprises marketing and education with traditional, social and digital tools; launched products, co-authored clinical publications; conducted primary and secondary survey/outcomes/market research; managed facilities/ people/ funding, etc.
I've worked cross-vertically (B2B/C/E/G) with particular expertise in health care and the life sciences, including biopharma and medical devices. I hold an MPH and am a Board Certified Patient Advocate, Managed Care On Line faculty member, Nepris presenter, and volunteer in global patient/family support.
Besides working as an independent consultant on and off, I started and sold a used book store back in the day. I have mentored entrepreneurs in person and virtually for about a decade.
How to work with me
What I can offer
Entrepreneurs seem equally happy with the big picture and small comma-type help that I have provided. Generally, if you are facing a decision that resembles "What now?" or "Right or left?" or are trying to make an important deliverable the best it can be, I can probably help.
My expectations for a successful mentoring relationship
An entrepreneur should have passion for the business model, knowledge of the market, and a commitment to serving constituents in a win/win exchange.
How entrepreneurs can prepare before we start
Formulate questions or decisions that are more specific than "How do I make money?" or "What can I do to attract more customers?" Take stock of your assets and business model to narrow your concerns. Be prepared to answer, "Why this? Why now? Why you?"
