Should I wait to form an LLC?

Hello, just to give you backround I am a freelance Makeup Artist  and was hired a few months ago at a salon in the area. I was hired knowing that the needs of this new salon were still up in the air.  I was told by my manager that he wants me to now do makeup for clients (at the salon instead of on travel) start selling makeup there, and to get an LLC. However, this is in MD , and I am planning on moving to NY in January for 5-6 months.  Is it worth it to get an LLC now? Or should I wait until I return?

Absolutely.  Wait.  Unless you developing intellectual property, the absolute best time to form an LLC is immediately before you accept your first check -- and no sooner.
