Jacob, Have you tried to meet with your gaming friends to create a company with which to "Fight" as a company in your gaming world? Creating a company with several knowledgeable friends with college level business knowledge would be a great beginning. Take notes on all their suggestions (ideas) to keep track of who to ask questions later. Form your company together or with each of them as advisors and investors.

You don't! At least not alone.

Putting it in a simple way:

1) Write down all the activities this organization needs to do. Be careful to not dive too deep in the details. Just make it high level.

2) Create clusters with those activities.

3) Hire people you trust to manage each of the clusters you established, so you will have some departments.

4) Establish scope (based on the activities you already figured out), goals and metrics for each department.

5) Finally you manage only those managers with the goals and metrics you already established.

Could be lot in the beggining but in the medium term will make your life a lot easier. Let me know if you need more help.

Hi Jacob,

You simply need an "Organization and Reporting Structure with KPIs" to overlook the activities and progress.

First answer the question, What is my primary goal?

I agree with Andre and Pratik. Another way to phrase what they are saying is, 1) create roles such as trainer, logistics, sales, etc. 2) Have one or two managers to manage of each KPI - Key Performance Indicator. These people, or in conjunction with you, will workout best practices to obtain the KPI. 3) Set your expectation or goal within each KPI. 4) Manage your managers.
