If my competitor is extremely bouyant with huge financial resources and his product is doing greatly well in the market better than mine and customers even prefer her kind of packaging system I've mine, please what will I do?

I have got a very quality product that can compete with any brand around but my top competitor is doin greatly well with his kind of packaging system adopted. It has sent many other brand into quick market extinction. I don't really know what to do as all attempt it work it out isn't working.

Upgrade your packaging system, colors of the package, size of the package and print on the label your promo, if selling by weight you can print n the label ( Extra 100 gm... for example)

If the customers are fine with the quality and quantity, add glittering colours on the package, promote using little commodities, partner with other companies to advertise, for example if you are selling powdered soap, attach it with even a toothpaste and sell the commodities.

Another way to work with this would be identify a niche area that you specialize in and work with your competitor to achieve economies of scale in your respective products and significantly reduce costs on marketing and infrastructure

Sounds like a given up state, that's not going to help.

Carefully scrutinize and come out with 3 things you are better than your competitor. If that was not so, you would have been wiped out, isn't it.

You are small and that itself can be an advantage.

On the other hand, try to be specific when comparing with competition. List why their packaging is better, collect end user feedback why their product is doing well or preferred by customers. Because you are small, you can be agile and quickly get into your act.

Try to target other segment, make a differentiation, not only in your product but the way you are approaching new customers, also keep and engage forever with older ones.

What can you offer as a plus along with your product to make it unique?
