What should be lockdown salary of employees who could do no work?

Not every work can be WFH. My one business is a lan center and it was already going through tough times before the lockdown. Revenues were decreasing month by month. Lockdown revenue is ZERO. After unlock, it's very very little even compared to the worst times before.

We shut our operations from 20th March but I paid full salary for March month.

Q: What should I pay to my employee for lockdown period?

Hello Anil, many countries have some temporary laws regarding work conditions. First of all you must meet local regulation. In my experience we could manage to make a deal with the workers that couldn´t work from home as follows: The workers earned 1.5 times the minimum wage. We were able to agree to reduce they salaries to the minimum wage during the lockdown period and until they make up the prepaid hours. This is a solution our local regulations enable us and satistfied both parties If your company is really short on cash you maybe need to reduce salaries or even let go some people. That is a hard decision to make but if the company goes bankrupt all the jobs will be lose, if the company survives some jobs will be safe and in the future you could create more. Good Luck and be Optimistic!
