Dear Aminat

A marketing plan is a document that describes the activities in which the organization intends to engage in a coming time period, usually one-year or more than 5 years plan. The following are the key outline of business plan;  Executive summary (a one-page to two-page overview of the contents of the plan)  Vision/goals for the marketing plan.  SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weakness, Opportunity and Threats), the first two are internal (Within the business) and others are external (from the environment)  Market Analysis, it should consist of market segmentation, target market and the competition.  Description of market/customer types and products/services that will provide satisfaction to those markets and customers  Marketing objectives for the coming period (objectives should be specific, understandable).  Description of marketing programs with timeline (a calendar of major marketing events planned, with a description of each event)

Any other assistance that you need is highly appreciated.

I agree with the other two answers as well. It always good to gain understanding of your customer to empathize with them (a day in the life), define what your customer needs, create the solution, prototype it, then test it with them. There can be several iterations as well to create the best solution for your customers.

Best of luck, Jennifer
