Hi Temitope, How are you? My name is Joy from Trinidad and Tobago. Here are some of my suggestions in relation to your question on boosting your sales: (i) Who is your target audience e.g. women, men, preschoolers, mothers, teenagers, et cetera? (ii) What are their needs e.g. do they need (or prefer) clothing that is fashionable, functional or both? As well as are the clothes seasonal e.g. for weddings, Christmas, et cetera (iii) What is the price you are charging for your clothes, in comparison to your competitors? (It is probably better to highlight your prices as 'bargain' instead of 'cheap' since, cheap in the eyes of several persons might mean of a low or inferior quality and design, even though it is not (iv) Increase your use of social media, particularly Facebook (to highlight sales or other events related to the clothes), Instagram (to highlight the variety of clothes you are selling and how they 'look' on persons of different sizes, ages, et cetera, and LinkedIn (to professionally network with similarly-minded persons, as well as persons who might be interested in partnering with you to market your products overseas). Note, think you should also ask yourself how comfortable you are with using social media (on a regular basis) (v) Give them an offer they can't refuse e.g. a buy one, get one free deal, free delivery, one free exchange if the clothes don't fit properly, or even, a 10 percent discount off their next purchase, or, a free accessory with a particular purchase (vi) Finally, share who you are with the world, either through a social media profile, a newspaper interview, as well as distributing official business cards among friends and family. In other words, raise your professional profile. Best wishes in your business endeavours!
