What is the Difference between Marketing and Sales? some times we use the two terms in same meaning.. what do you think?

MARKETING is the act of seeking customers that will result in sales. It is an activity, not a result. It is also an expense necessary to achieve SALES.

SALES is the result of MARKETING activity in the form of a customer order for your product or service. SALES offset MARKETING expense.
