Dear Debbie,
As you have stated that International Marketing and Sales is a problem for you, I'm going to assume that local sales and marketing is covered. If so, it's not a stretch to move to international markets.
Here's my recommendations:
1.) Determine your product's competitiveness in specific countries. You need to look at traditional competitors (non-renewable energy, grid related options), pricing, importation obstacles, laws, similar class type products already available in the market.
2.) Once you've determined the best countries to go into for ease of entry, pricing competitiveness, product relevance, etc. Set up actual meetings with distributors of like minded products in-country. Conference call, set up multiple meetings and identify the right distributor to handle your product.
3.) Appointed distributor will help you find retailers on the ground who will be willing to take your product and sell them to consumers. Their local knowledge will jumpstart the process and move things forward. They will also take care of sales for you.
