What are your biggest questions or struggles with 3rd Party Delivery Services?

I am hosting a Webinar at the end of the month and would like to include pain points regarding the 3rd party delivery services. I seek to answer these questions and help businesses over come their biggest struggles they encounter with them.

Problem we've had is vendor does not always meet ETA's and if work is on a strict timeline then we take the heat and penalties dispite it being outside of our control of which there's little to no recourse back on shipper. Usually we will ship things there week in advance to avoid this but that comes with another set of issues like store trashing it on loading dock before we get there or unpacking and losing parts by time we get there. We've also tried hold for pickup but when it's an overnight install usually facility is closed by time we need it or center is quite a ways from the site which means further travel and also higher costs typically from shipper as well. Kind of a lose lose situation there.
