MicroMentor South Florida

Mentoring is the Key to Business Success

Accion, Branches, and Prospera are working with MicroMentor to offer opportunities for mentorship to entrepreneurs in South Florida. As non-profits in South Florida supporting entrepreneurs, we believe that mentorship increases the chance of success with access to the business knowledge and guidance of experienced professionals.

Accion is the largest nationwide nonprofit lending network in the United States. We provide fair and flexible loans, connections to business experts, and access to resources and opportunities specifically tailored to each business owner’s unique needs and goals.

Branches’ micro-business services seek to increase opportunities for economic mobility and wealth creation for the families we serve. Small business development is an important way to create wealth and financial sustainability and our ASSETS program helps increase those opportunities supporting participants to become economically self-sufficient through entrepreneurial services. We provide business assessment and entrepreneurial readiness workshops, comprehensive business management training, personal one-on-one financial coaching, one-on-one business technical assistance, micro grants, peer support networking groups, and ongoing business support services.

Prospera is an economic development, nonprofit organization specialized in providing bilingual assistance to Hispanic entrepreneurs trying to establish or expand their business. Prospera empowers entrepreneurs and small business owners through training, support and resources so their businesses can grow and prosper.

This program is made possible by MicroMentor, an online community of entrepreneurs and business mentors, and supported by Capital One.
